Apologies if I've been rather quiet on here. Inspiration hasn't been popping up much for me during the start of this year. I've been thinking hard about life, well-being based stuff. Wondering how to improve myself better throughout 2024. Went to see another Quentin Blake exhibit. This time on book cover designs and his illustration techniques. Encountered an artist I've never heard of. Chris Orr. Interesting work. He makes sure every person is busy doing something chaotic in a picture. Sort of like those Where's Wally books. Something's going on and each character tells a story. My Old PC began coughing and showing signs of dying out. So yeah...there's that! During this month my creativity is beginning to light up again. Perhaps it's due to the feel good Spring/Easter atmosphere? I've been practising my writing and bundling together ideas for a bunch of tales. Started getting my spook on. I've done some card-making: Along with some monster-making of my own: I found a spare green pom pom and began building my own McGee Mad Hatter figure on a budget. :D The real figures are sadly a nightmare to physically find now. :( Hope he turns out well. May plan to build more doll/miniature figures based on my fave characters from media. With the right materials I intend to! Also picked up some small, plush pumpkins from the Hobby store. I was inspired to have a go at making some pumpkin dolls after seeing this little spook on display: Isn't she just the cutest? :heart: Hope everyone has a Happy Halloween this year.
